The Great Blue

Although it can be a common site to come across these magnificent water birds in Knysna along the garden route South Africa, its always breathtaking and a real treat!

They patiently wait for the right time to to strike!  and seem quite at ease on a man made deck or pier surrounded by watercraft, to some extent they seem to have adapted quite well to human advances and  influences so I thought it appropriate to encircle them in the sails of yachts!
